School community builds together at Van Asselt

Despite the rain, the Van Asselt Elementary School Community came together and built a new playground today.

More than 150 volunteers from nonprofit KaBoom, Home Depot and Major League Soccer joined parents and friends of the school for the project.

The new playground should be ready for kids (weather permitting) to play by Friday.
