Motorcyclist killed in crash Sunday night

A fast-driving motorcyclist hit two cars and was killed near Holly Park last night.

According to police, at 10 p.m., a 32-year-old man driving a black Honda motorcycle was headed west on South Myrtle Street approaching Beacon Avenue South at a “very high rate of speed.”

At the same time, a black Chrysler Crossfire was stopped at the red traffic signal on South Myrtle Street at Beacon Avenue South facing westbound. The light turned green and the Crossfire started to drive straight again when it was struck from the behind by the motorcycle. The Motorcycle driver was thrown from his bike and struck by another vehicle traveling east on Myrtle.

Seattle Fire responded and pronounced the motorcycle driver dead at the scene.
